RAGNAROK is Nigh!
Looking for a tough workout? Looking for a tune-up before the ESGs and NYSSRA Championships? Looking to head to the World Masters’ in peak form? Looking to help crumble Cystic Fibrosis?
The Peru Nordic Masters’ annual classic marathon, Ragnarok, is set to take place on February 20.
The Battle at the End of the World!
Skiers keep their own time in this training race as they depart Gauntlet Stadium, heading around Perimeter Loop, before turning up the Spruce trail and heading out on East Mt to the Porter Loops. Finally, Skiers will end at the GOAT.
Skiers are also asked to contribute to help Team Cookie battle Cystic Fibrosis. For every dollar a skier donates to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation on Sunday, he may subtract one minute from his overall time. The skier with the lowest time will take possession of Mjöllnir, Thor’s hammer, capable of crushing mountains, and symbolic of smiting all foes and helping to pound Cystic Fibrosis into submission during Ragnarok!
Facebook Users: Let Peru Nordic know if you are planning to attend RAGNAROK!
What is Team Cookie? Team Cookie is anyone and everyone who would like to show their support for Brooke, a.k.a. “Brookie the Cookie,” Taptick and everyone else affected by Cystic Fibrosis. How is my donation used? Your donation will be forwarded to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation at our annual Great Strides Walk in September. You’re donation is used efficiently and effectively by CFF: nearly 90 cents out of every dollar you contribute goes directly toward supporting research and specialized care that improves the quality of life for those with CF. And, it’s tax-deductible. What is Cystic Fibrosis? It’s a nasty genetic disease that is no fun. Please go to the following for a brief overview http://www.cff.org/AboutCF/Faqs/
