Saratoga Biathlon’s Tom “skinny Rex Ryan” Moffett captured some good VHCS points with a Fantasy Football championship in the Evil Empire of Fantasy Football.   Riding the solid play of the Chargers’ Philip Rivers, the clutch play of the Cowboys’ Miles Austin and the heroics of the Jaguars’ David Garrard, Moffett defeated the Maswick family’s Lake Placid Mayors in the championship game.  High Speed Dirt went 8-6 during the regular season before getting hot at the right time, defeating heavy favorite, Angels of Death in the opening round of the playoffs to advance to the title game.  After the win, coach Moffett was ecstatic,   “My guys gave it 110%, took it one game at a time, I’m really proud of the way our guys hung in there, we were really on our game, we came to play, we brought our A-game, it’s tough to win in a hostile environment, we knew this would be no cakewalk, it wasn’t pretty but we’ll take it, we finally got the monkey off our backs, everyone counted us out before the season started, it was a total team effort, we played our hearts out, We snatched victory out of the jaws of defeat, This team has finally learned how to win, this team shows a lot of character, we’re going to savor this victory, we made a statement here today, the MVP award belongs to the whole team, it hasn’t sunk in yet, you dream about this as a kid, we left it all out on the field, and there’s no “I” in TEAM, but now there is a “MOFFETT” in “Evil Empire Fantasy Football World Champion!”
