Reports from Morrisonville are that the world-famous MitcHELLbeiner Skistadion may be ceasing operations for the upcoming season… and beyond.
Citing financial woes, and the lack of consistent trail-maintenance help, the Mitch of Hell has been reported as stating that the world-class USTBBA certified facility will most likely shut its doors, possibly for good. Chris “Hand of Doom” Rose was somewhat taken aback by the news, “…we have put a lot of work into that place, it’s a shame to see it go.” Jim “Harvester of Sorrow” Kobak added, “…usually Charlie shuts grooming down too early in the season to get ready for cycling season anyway, so big whup.” Bob “Lord of Destruction” Maswick lamented, “I was so excited for my retirement so I could spend more time upta Morrisionville… major bummer.”
The forest at MitcHELLbeiner Skistadion will most likely be cut down for firewood, and then used as a War of 1812 reenactment battleground.
The Viking Helmet Championship Series will most certainly move to Mount Van Hoevenberg for the 2010-11 season. There is a chance that Sapp’s Woods or Beartown Ski Area may take over as the official training compound of the World’s Most Notorious Nordic Ski Team, stay tuned for more details on this breaking news story.
