The DOOM! race series got underway in Willsboro with the Bare Mt. Blast. Competitors hammered their way up to the summit of Bare Mt. Cole Starkey had the fastest time on the day posting an impressive 10:53. The first DOOM! series race featured 5 competitors.
During each event in the DOOM! Series, the VHCS Supercomputer (on loan from the Peru Nordic Masters) evaluates each competitor in three categories using a series of complicated algorithms to calculate a composite DOOM! Index score. The categories include the Domination Factor, a measure of how much the racer is able harness raw power to subjugate his competitors he stomps on the field, the Vehemence Factor, a measure of how much anger and aggression is utilized by the racer as he hammers through the course, and the Intimidation Factor, a measure of how the racers performance has damaged the psyche and broken the will of other competitors as he strikes fear into their hearts.
The DOOM! Index will be displayed for each event in the DOOM! Series in a user-friendly graphic format, enjoy:
