Peru Nordic Tour de Ski Continues…

Kobak Leads the Tour

After two stages, Peru Nordic’s Jim Kobak leads the Tour de Ski by a scant 7 points.  The Tour de Ski is a five-stage race where each skier recieves %back  scoring for each race.  Each race’s score is added together to determine the winner of the Tour.  This year’s tour celebrates the 30th anniversary of the Judas Priest Classic Album, British Steel.  Kobak won the opening race RAPID FIRE, then stage two,  METAL GODS, was won by Bob Maswick.

The PRIEST!

The Tour Continues today with BREAKIN’ THE LAW, the annual Gauntlet Relay at High Noon.  Relay teams ski 6 alternating 1.5 km loops.  Then, stage four, GRINDER, at the Tupper Lake Big Boulder Classic.  Finally, the Tour wraps up at MVH with THE RAGE, an uphill race to the GOAT.  Stay tuned to Windbriefs for more Tour highlights and updates.
