… and the skis are waxed with care, in the hopes that some death stick rocket m&*% f*&%^s will soon be there.
The NYSSRA Ski Season Starts tomorrow with the NYSEF Season Opener. Peru Nordic will be bringing a full force of Evil to this race as they begin the march towards the NYSSRA Club Championship. And, they should be decked out in their new extremely evil racing duds. Tomorrow’s race will be a true test as skiers must climb the Olympic Ladies’ 5k course twice. Look for Peru Nordic’s Chris Rose to dominate after a monster rollerski season. Jim Kobak usually climbs well, and even though he has done zero rollerski training, Mike Wynn is always a threat to win the race. Jon Santor has been skiing strong, and don’t count out Stan Hatch, Ed Lis, Joe Korzinecki, David Hunter and “The Mayor” Bob Maswick. Jim Adams should open the season well, and rookie Jerry Ross may light it up on the trails of MVH tomorrow. Janet Findlay should be a force in the women’s race and Randy Wint will go out too hard for the first 5 km, then hang on for a respectable finish.
After tomorrow, there is much more on the Peru Nordic Schedule to get you through 2009. Here’s a sample:
Sunday Dec 27 through Sunday Jan 3… Peru Nordic Tour de Ski. 5 stages celebrating the 30th anniversary of Judas Priest’s landmark album, British Steel
