High winds and rain greeted the hearty SLOPFESTers and Jay Fiegl responded with an authoratative stomping of the field. Fiegl’s 19:18 romp up Poko sent a strong message that he is the one to beat in the Patch Sprint. Fiegl’s effort enabled him to capture the SLOP bucket trophy, finishing 0.001 points ahead of Jim Kobak in the standings. Kobak finished second with a disappointing 20:30, “I expected to be sub-20…this is NOT the way I want to head into Patch Sprint week… the only solution is to hit Buck Mt as hard as I can on Saturday.” Chris Rose put in a good 21 minute effort, followed by Jerry Ross and Tom Moffett. Skip Singer had a respectable time, and Marque Moffett captured the overall women’s title with her effort.
