The 5th annual running of the Skaytona 800 takes place at MitcHELLbeiner Skistadion this week.
Skiers must first run a pole qualifying lap of the field. That time will be used to determine the mandatory pit time during the race.
Skiers ski two laps of the standard MitcHELLbeiner course. In between laps, skiers must pit for the equivalent amount of time as it took to ski the pole qualifying lap.
Likewise restrictor plate rules are in effect, at one point in the race, skiers must stop making any ski motions for the time equivalent to 80 seconds minus the age of the skier. For example, a 38 year old skier (like Chris Rose) must spend at least 42 (80-38 = 42) continuous seconds during the race where he makes no ski motions. This is in addition to the mandatory pit in between laps.
As usual, skiers have until Thursday at 7PM to email results to email@example.com
