The results from Glens Falls are now official.  Mike Wynn finished third overall to lead the Peru Nordic Masters against a large and strong field of 40 NYSSRA open/masters skiers.  Wynn used his strong technique and “home course advantage” to reel in over two minutes on Jim Kobak and Chris Rose in the interval start race.  In fact, Wynn was so fast, that the finish timers couldn’t keep up with him with their stopwatches.

Another skier using home snow to his advantage was David Kvam who finished an impressive 8th overall.  Chris Rose worked hard to catch Jim Kobak, who started 15 seconds ahead, and then let Kobak drag him over the course to finish 10th overall, 13 seconds ahead of Kobak in11th.  The only other Peru Nordic starter was Bob Maswick, who also had a good race, finishing in 16th place and finishing the impressive sweep of Team NJS skiers by the PNMSP!

  1. If my friends had pulled the trip wires when they were supposed to, we’d be talking about very different results! Kinda like when the Rebels tripped up those big metal walker-things in the beginning of The Empire Strikes Back.
