Peru Nordic Masters Masters!
Chris Rose slipped on the Green Denim Jacket as the winner of the 2010 Peru Nordic Masters Masters.
This event challenged skiers to race a rollerski time trial, and immediately follow with a round of 9 holes of golf. Amidst the sweltering heat of Summer, skiers lined up to race a shortened 5 km course in Peru. Rose managed the best time, and carried that with him to the links at Willsboro Golf Club.
On the course, Rose could not be stopped, shooting the lowest round, and winning prestigious premiums like “longest drive with a putter on the 3rd hole.” Rose catapulted into the lead when, Jim Kobak’s “Happy Gilmore Drive at the 7th” was eclipsed by a solid whack by up-in-coming golfer, Kim “Annika Sorenstam” Rose.
Tom Moffett never got his game going. Handicapped by a rollerski course miscue, Moffett needed to have his A game going in order to contend. Unfortunately, three-putting with his Driver on the 6th plummetted him down the leader board and he could not recover, even playing every stroke effectively with a 3 iron on the 8th hole.
The next event on the Peru Nordic Calendar is the annual Iron Maiden Triathlon tune-up. The Mini-Maiden will be held Tuesday evening at 6 PM… meet at the Moffett Thunderdome.
Don’t forget to register for the Iron Maiden Triathlon… spots still available!
